The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is the #1 infant health authority. Its member pediatricians dedicate their efforts and resources to the health, safety, and well-being of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. The AAP has approximately 55,000 members in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Members include pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists, and pediatric surgical specialists. The president of the AAP contributes a monthly column to Babytalk.

Consumer Reports

Consumer Reports is published by Consumers Union, the nonprofit, independent testing organization that provides consumers with information, ratings, and advice on products, services, health, and personal finance. They test thousands of products every year in the areas of cars, electronics, appliances, babies & kids, home & garden, and health & fitness. Babytalk and Consumer Reports have collaborated on the book Consumer Reports Best Baby Products. In addition, Babytalk features a Consumer Reports column in the "Good Gear" section each month.

Sesame Beginnings

Sesame Beginnings offers age-appropriate content while entertaining, engaging and encouraging interaction between caregivers and children. Featuring baby versions of the Sesame Street Muppets and their caregivers, these characters provide fun, engaging examples of these kinds of moments, while the various songs, activities, and stories provide parents with fresh material for interactions they can enjoy with their child throughout the day. In partnership with Sesame Beginnings, an early literacy program, Babytalk's quarterly "Snuggle Time" column features favorite characters in bright, bold illustrations with short, simple text to encourage parents to build early communication skills with their children through reading, song, and playing games.

William Sears, M.D. and Martha Sears, R.N.

One of America's most renowned pediatricians, Dr. Sears is an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at the California School of Medicine, Irving. He and his wife, Martha Sears, R.N., have eight children. Together, they have written thirty-two books on parenting and are the hosts of the website AskDrSears.com. Writing from vast professional and personal experience, Dr. Sears is widely considered "today's Dr. Spock." Dr. Sears has contributed to Babytalk for over 20 years.

Heidi Murkoff

Murkoff is co-author of the best-selling What to Expect series. Her first book, What to Expect When You're Expecting, revolutionized the parenting book genre with its reassuring and detailed month-by-month approach; there are now over 20 million copies in print. Three best-selling books followed: What to Expect the First Year, What to Eat When You're Expecting, and What to Expect the Toddler Years. Murkoff, who has two children, is also an author of a series of children's books, What to Expect Kids. Babytalk's "What to Expect" column appears in every issue.

Kitty O'Callaghan

ASME-award winning editor Kitty contributes monthly to Babytalk. Her column "Girl Talk" offers straightforward, sometimes comical, but always helpful advice on everything mom-related. She also writes feature stories which give readers an in-depth look into current and relevant motherhood topics.
